Former Super Eagles star Osaze Odemwingie has criticized the extreme antics displayed by Libya during the recent 2025 AFCON qualifier match against Nigeria.
His remarks come after several reports highlighted how Libyan authorities and the team used various tactics to disrupt the Nigerian side.
The Super Eagles faced numerous delays, including being held at an airport for over 13 hours without proper provisions like food or water, and their flight was diverted to a location far from the match venue.
These issues led to frustration, not just on the field, but off it as well, as the Libyan side engaged in time-wasting and other disruptive behaviors during the match.
Odemwingie, along with other football enthusiasts, expressed concerns about the treatment of the Nigerian players and called for accountability from the football authorities to ensure such incidents do not recur
