John Tinniswood, the world’s oldest living man, has passed away at the age of 112. Born on August 26, 1912, in Liverpool, England, Tinniswood was recognized as the oldest man following the death of Juan Vicente Pérez in April 2024.
He had lived through both world wars and witnessed significant historical events, including the sinking of the Titanic the year he was born.
During World War II, Tinniswood served in the Royal Army Pay Corps, where he worked in logistics and finance.
He lived a remarkably active life and, when asked about the secret to his longevity, he humbly attributed it to simply taking life in stride, without focusing too much on age.
