Missing Ogun Man, 70, Discovered Deceased

Search Ends: 70-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Ogun

A 70-year-old man, Sikiru Olatunji, who was reported missing in Wasinmi-Imasayi, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, has been found dead. According to reports, Olatunji went to his farm on Friday, February 7, 2025, and did not return. His lifeless body was discovered on Tuesday near the Ibese boundary with Imasayi.

The Baale of Wasinmi-Imasayi, Taiwo Akinola, stated that after being informed of Olatunji’s disappearance by his wife, he instructed the community’s security team to search the forest. During the search, they found his cap and boots hanging on a tree. Eventually, they located his body lying face up, with his farming tool beside him.

Sanni Waheed, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Imasayi, who was present at the scene, described the deceased as a supportive member of the community. He noted that there were no signs of attack or strangulation on the body when it was found.
