The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has stated that Fulani herders were not involved in the recent attack in Kebbi State, which tragically claimed 15 lives.
The association’s spokesperson condemned the attack and clarified that it was not perpetrated by Fulani communities, addressing widespread speculations that had linked the ethnic group to the violence.
MACBAN emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to accurately identify those responsible for the assault.
This statement from Miyetti Allah reflects ongoing efforts by the association to address and distance itself from acts of violence often associated with communal conflicts.
They also reiterated their commitment to peaceful coexistence and cooperation with other communities and called on security agencies to work swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice.
