Naja’atu’s Bold Stand: Court Meeting with Ribadu

Ribadu Denies Corruption Claims: Naja’atu Responds

Naja’atu Mohammed, a prominent Nigerian politician and former Director of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, has doubled down on her claims that Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), once described President Bola Tinubu as corrupt during his tenure as the EFCC Chairman.

In a fiery response to Ribadu’s denial, Naja’atu stated, “I stand by my words. If you feel I am lying, let us meet in court.” She insisted that Ribadu made the statement years ago in relation to Tinubu’s alleged financial misconduct.

Ribadu had earlier refuted the claims, describing them as false and politically motivated. He maintained that at no point did he label Tinubu as corrupt, either during or after his tenure at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The dispute has generated significant public attention, with Nigerians debating the veracity of the claims and their implications for the Tinubu administration. Naja’atu, known for her outspoken nature, has stated that she is ready to present evidence to back her allegations in court if necessary.

Also Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has waded into the ongoing dispute between National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu and Naja’atu Mohammed, accusing Ribadu of suffering from “amnesia” regarding his alleged past statements about President Bola Tinubu’s integrity.

El-Rufai, known for his blunt commentary, reportedly supported Naja’atu Mohammed’s claim that Ribadu once referred to Tinubu as corrupt during his tenure as EFCC Chairman. In a statement, El-Rufai said, “It seems my brother Ribadu is now conveniently forgetting some of the things he said back then. Maybe amnesia has set in.”

The remark comes after Ribadu vehemently denied ever accusing Tinubu of corruption, calling Naja’atu’s assertion baseless and politically motivated. However, Naja’atu has doubled down, challenging Ribadu to take her to court, stating she has evidence to back her claim.

El-Rufai’s comments have added fuel to the controversy, with many Nigerians now questioning the historical accuracy of Ribadu’s alleged statements. Political analysts suggest this row reflects underlying tensions within the political elite, as key players realign themselves in the Tinubu administration.
