On March 29, 2025, personnel from the Nigerian Navy’s Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Ibaka, Akwa Ibom State, apprehended three individuals suspected of drug peddling. The arrests took place in Ibaka, Mbo Local Government Area, where the suspects were found in possession of a significant quantity of Indian hemp. The Navy has confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
