Senator Ali Ndume has urged the Nigerian Senate to consider allowing Uchenna Ubah, the widow of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, to replace him in representing Anambra South Senatorial District.
This appeal came during a valedictory session held in honor of the late senator, where tributes were paid to his contributions to the Senate and his community.
The call to allow Ubah’s widow to assume his Senate seat is seen as a gesture to maintain continuity and respect for the late senator’s legacy.
The decision, however, will ultimately depend on constitutional provisions and political consensus within the district and among party stakeholders.
