Nevada-Arizona Shootings: Man Sentenced to 100 Years

100-Year Prison Sentence for Nevada-Arizona Shooter

A Texas man, Christopher McDonnell, has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for a deadly 2020 shooting spree that spanned Nevada and Arizona.

The rampage began in Henderson, Nevada, where McDonnell and his accomplices fatally shot Kevin Mendiola Jr. at a convenience store and injured several others in drive-by shootings.

The violence continued across state lines into Arizona, where a shootout with law enforcement ended in the group’s arrest after a car crash.

McDonnell pleaded guilty to over 20 felony charges, including murder and attempted murder.

His sentence includes eligibility for parole in 2120, although this is largely symbolic due to the length of the term.

His accomplices, including his brother Shawn McDonnell and Kayleigh Lewis, are still awaiting trial and face numerous charges, including terrorism for Shawn.
