A Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer, Solomon Ogodo, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for his involvement in a N12.2 million employment scam.
Ogodo, a superintendent, was convicted for defrauding job seekers by promising them positions in the Nigeria Correctional Services (NCoS) and providing fake appointment letters.
He was found guilty on multiple counts, including forgery and employment racketeering. The court also ordered him to compensate his victims by returning the full amount he defrauded them of.
