Nuclear Negotiations: Iran’s Leader Stands Firm Against Trump

Supreme Leader of Iran Refuses Trump’s Nuclear Dialogue

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has firmly rejected President Donald Trump’s proposal for new nuclear negotiations, labeling the U.S. as a “bully” seeking to impose its demands. Khamenei asserted that such negotiation offers are tactics used by coercive governments to further their own agendas, which Iran will not accept.

This response follows President Trump’s recent revelation of sending a letter to Khamenei, expressing a desire to establish a new agreement to prevent Iran’s development of nuclear weapons. Trump emphasized his preference for a diplomatic solution over military action.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi echoed Khamenei’s stance, stating that any future negotiations are contingent upon the U.S. lifting the sanctions imposed under Trump’s “maximum pressure” policy, which has significantly impacted Iran’s economy.

The International Atomic Energy Agency has raised alarms about Iran’s advancements toward weapons-grade uranium enrichment, highlighting the urgency of addressing the escalating nuclear tensions.
