The Ogun State Command of the South-West Security Network, known as Amotekun, has apprehended a 30-year-old man named Akeem Adebayo in connection with the death of his 27-year-old girlfriend, identified as Ifedolapo. The incident occurred in the Ijoko area of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
According to reports, Adebayo and Ifedolapo had an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the confrontation, Adebayo allegedly assaulted Ifedolapo, leading to her death. Following the incident, Adebayo attempted to flee but was apprehended by Amotekun operatives after a tip-off from local residents.
The suspect has been handed over to the Ogun State Police Command for further investigation and possible prosecution. The Commander of Amotekun in Ogun State, David Akinremi, confirmed the arrest and urged the public to report any suspicious activities to security agencies to help maintain peace and security in the state.
