Tunde Oladunjoye, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has passed away at the age of 58. He died on Friday, April 4, 2025, at an undisclosed hospital in the United Kingdom, where he was receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
Oladunjoye was a seasoned journalist and politician, known for his dedication to the APC and the Ogun State government. He previously served as the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area and was the running mate to General Tunji Olurin in the 2011 Ogun State governorship election. In 2023, Governor Dapo Abiodun appointed him as a Senior Consultant on Media.
Governor Abiodun expressed profound shock and sadness over Oladunjoye’s passing, describing it as a “terrible loss” to both the state and the party. He praised Oladunjoye’s brilliance, dedication, and unwavering commitment to defending the policies and image of the Ogun State government. The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to Oladunjoye’s family, friends, and the Ogun APC community.
The family has announced that funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
