Ogun Tragedy: Killers Face Death Sentence for Family Murders

Justice Served: Ogun Couple and Son’s Murderers Sentenced to Death by Hanging

An Ogun State High Court in Abeokuta has sentenced three individuals to death by hanging for the murder of a couple, Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, and their only son, Oreoluwa.

The convicts, identified as Lekan Adekanbi, a former driver of the deceased couple, and his accomplices, Olayemi Lekan and Okeowo Olayemi, were found guilty of conspiracy and murder. The tragic incident occurred on January 1, 2023, when the couple was killed in their residence in the Ibara Government Reservation Area of Abeokuta, and their home was set ablaze.

Their son, Oreoluwa, was later abducted and killed, with his body discovered in a river. The court’s verdict aims to serve as a deterrent to others and bring justice to the victims’ family.
