Paris-Bound Businessman’s Bizarre Drug Mule Arrest at Abuja Airport

Nigerian Businessman Caught Swallowing 74 Drug Wraps Before Paris Flight

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 48-year-old businessman, Orizu Ifeanyi Arthur, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Arthur was en route to Paris, France, when he was apprehended for ingesting 74 wraps of heroin and cocaine.

The arrest occurred on December 22, 2024, during routine checks by NDLEA officers. Arthur was taken into custody for observation, during which he excreted the 74 wraps of the illicit substances over a period of time.

This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of the NDLEA to combat drug trafficking through Nigerian airports.

The agency continues to enforce strict measures to deter individuals from engaging in such illegal activities.
