Heart Complications Claim Street Fighter Actor at 59

Peter Navy Tuiasosopo, a veteran actor renowned for his roles in “Street Fighter,” “NCIS,” and “The Fast and the Furious,” has passed away at the age of 61 due to heart complications. His son, Manoah Peter Tuiasosopo, announced the news on social media, expressing gratitude for the support and prayers received, and noting that his father lived an impactful life and is no longer in pain.

Tuiasosopo’s career spanned over three decades, during which he became a trailblazer for Polynesian actors in Hollywood. He is perhaps best remembered for portraying E. Honda in the 1994 film adaptation of “Street Fighter.” His extensive television work included appearances on “NCIS,” “Ray Donovan,” “New Girl,” “Magnum P.I.,” and “The Young and the Restless.” In addition to “The Fast and the Furious,” his film credits feature roles in “Necessary Roughness,” “BASEketball,” and “12 Rounds.”

Before embarking on his acting journey, Tuiasosopo had a brief stint in professional football, playing for teams such as the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams.
