Plateau Killings: Atiku Critiques Tinubu's Security Strategy

Atiku Slams Tinubu Over Plateau Killings and Security Failures

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration over the escalating insecurity in Nigeria, particularly highlighting the recent killings in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Atiku expressed concern that Nigerians are becoming desensitized to such incidents, stating that the failure of Tinubu’s security strategy has led to a nationwide phenomenon of repeated killings, many of which go unreported.

He conveyed his condolences to the affected communities and families in Bokkos, emphasizing the urgent need for the federal government to overhaul its security architecture to effectively protect citizens’ lives and property.

These remarks follow reports of at least 52 fatalities resulting from coordinated attacks by gunmen in several communities within Bokkos LGA.

Atiku’s critique underscores the growing public frustration with the government’s handling of national security, especially in regions frequently targeted by violent attacks. He has consistently called for a comprehensive restructuring of the nation’s security framework to address these persistent challenges.
