The Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended two individuals in connection with the alleged murder of 25-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Dauda Manu, from Unguwar Buba, Fulata Lanzai, Darazo Local Government Area. Manu’s body was discovered on March 5, 2025, near Dosho Village, exhibiting multiple injuries.
Investigations revealed that Manu was last seen on March 4, 2025, transporting two unidentified passengers on his Boxer motorcycle. On March 20, 2025, police arrested 25-year-old Yau Buba from Minchika Village, Darazo LGA, found in possession of the deceased’s motorcycle. Buba confessed to purchasing the motorcycle for ₦250,000 from 22-year-old Buba Muhammadu of the same village, who was subsequently arrested on March 21, 2025.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further inquiry, with plans to charge the suspects in court upon conclusion. The Bauchi State Police Command reiterated its commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
