Authorities Detain Alleged Gun Lender to Criminal Syndicate

The Anambra State Police Command recently arrested Friday Emenike, also known as Ekpo, a 42-year-old from Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, for allegedly lending firearms to criminals operating in Awka and surrounding areas.

The arrest was part of a broader crackdown on criminal activities in the region, during which police also recovered several weapons.

This operation reflects the command’s intensified efforts under Commissioner of Police Aderemi Adeoye to combat armed robbery and other violent crimes in the state.
