A recent viral video depicts three individuals being interrogated by residents of Victory Estate in the Ago Palace area of Lagos State, following allegations of attempted kidnapping. In the footage, one suspect identifies himself as Ifeanyi from Anambra State, while another, purportedly the group’s leader, goes by the nickname “Davido.” The third individual claims to be from Kwara State.
In response to the incident, the Lagos State Police Command has acknowledged the situation and is currently investigating the matter. The police have urged the public to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands, emphasizing the importance of allowing law enforcement agencies to handle such cases appropriately.
This event has reignited concerns among residents about the resurgence of kidnapping activities in the Ago Palace Way vicinity. Notably, in October 2023, there were reports suggesting that associates of the notorious kidnapper Evans might have resumed operations in the area, leading to increased vigilance among the community members.
