The Lagos State Police Command successfully rescued three individuals who were abducted along the Lekki-Epe Expressway on March 7, 2025.
The victims—Umezulike Joseph, Eze Theodorah, and Rosemary Ogwulu—were inspecting a property when five armed men kidnapped them. Swift police intervention led to their rescue in a nearby forested area after the kidnappers abandoned them upon realizing they were being pursued.
In a separate incident, the police foiled a kidnapping plot involving Pakistani nationals. A 48-year-old Pakistani man was lured to Lagos with a fake job offer and subsequently abducted by seven compatriots.
The victim was rescued unhurt, and two suspects—Roman Gull, 19, and Aftab Ahmad, 28—were arrested, while five others escaped.
