President Bola Tinubu is currently on a state visit to France, aimed at strengthening ties between the two countries, particularly in the sectors of food security, energy, and education.
The visit marks the first such trip by a Nigerian leader to France in 24 years and is focused on enhancing political, economic, and cultural cooperation.
Discussions between President Tinubu and French President Macron will cover topics including youth development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership, especially through exchange programs and skills development initiatives.
Additionally, both leaders are expected to discuss regional security, trade, and investment opportunities, as well as fostering private-sector collaboration.
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu will also engage with France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron, on initiatives aimed at empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
The visit is seen as a critical step in advancing Nigeria’s global partnerships, with a strong emphasis on enhancing France-Nigeria relations.
