A fire broke out on Wednesday evening at the Radio Nigeria office in Ikoyi, Lagos, severely damaging the facility.
The blaze reportedly started in an air conditioning unit and quickly spread to the studio section. Three studios and the roofs of two affected buildings were extensively damaged.
Firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and LASEMA’s Shark Response Team responded swiftly, salvaging some properties but reporting significant losses. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
