Rafael Nadal, the legendary Spanish tennis player, has announced his upcoming retirement at the age of 38 after an illustrious career spanning more than two decades.

Nadal, who won 22 Grand Slam titles, cited persistent injuries as the reason for his decision.

He plans to play his final matches at the Davis Cup Finals in Málaga, Spain, in November 2024.

Known as the “King of Clay” for his record 14 French Open titles, Nadal has been a key figure in tennis history alongside rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Nadal expressed gratitude for his career and the experiences it brought, saying he is at peace with the decision to retire after giving his all to the sport​.
