Manchester United has officially appointed Ruben Amorim as their new head coach, replacing Erik ten Hag, who was sacked following a disappointing start to the season.
Amorim, 39, has signed a contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2027, after the club activated his £9.2 million release clause from Sporting CP.
He has achieved significant success at Sporting, including two Primeira Liga titles.
Amorim will not start until November 11, with Ruud van Nistelrooy managing the team until then.
