Russian officials have expressed approval of U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev referred to Zelensky as an “insolent pig” who “finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office,” urging the suspension of military aid to Ukraine.
Similarly, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova praised Trump’s “restraint” for not physically assaulting Zelensky during the heated exchange, labeling the Ukrainian leader a “scumbag.”
These reactions highlight Moscow’s satisfaction with the strained U.S.-Ukraine relations following the incident.
