Trump: Russia’s Hesitation on Ukraine Peace Efforts

​U.S. President Donald Trump has acknowledged that Russia may be “dragging its feet” in negotiations aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine. Despite a U.S.-brokered Black Sea ceasefire agreement, Russia has demanded additional concessions, including the lifting of Western sanctions on its agricultural sector and restoration of access to the SWIFT banking system.

The ceasefire deal, while a significant diplomatic effort, has faced challenges due to Russia’s insistence on further easing of sanctions before full compliance. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has criticized Russia’s actions, stating that recent drone strikes across Ukraine indicate Moscow’s reluctance for genuine peace. ​
