The Nigerian Senate has postponed the screening of seven ministerial nominees initially scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, 2024, to allow completion of essential documentation and pre-screening processes.
The screening has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 30, at noon. Among those awaiting confirmation are nominees for critical roles including the ministries of Humanitarian Affairs, Labour, and Foreign Affairs.
The Senate’s postponement aims to ensure all nominees meet necessary procedural requirements before the review and confirmation process begins in line with constitutional guidelines.
