Senator Jonathan Silas Zwingina, a former Senate Majority Leader and prominent Nigerian politician, has passed away at the age of 70.
Zwingina, who was also the Director-General of the MKO Abiola campaign organization during the 1993 presidential election, died on October 2, 2024, in Abuja after a protracted illness.
Zwingina was well known for his significant contributions to Nigerian politics, particularly during the Fourth Republic, where he represented Adamawa South Senatorial District.
His death has been met with tributes from across the political spectrum, recognizing his service and legacy.
