The Yobe State Police Command has arrested six suspects in connection with the recent killings of two police officers in Kolere village, Fune Local Government Area.
The officers, Deputy Superintendents Ali Pindar and Jantuku Philibus, were killed in separate incidents earlier this year while attempting to apprehend suspected gang members in the Kolere community.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Abdu Abubakar Ozo, disclosed that the arrested suspects are currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation. He also noted that additional operatives have been deployed to apprehend other individuals involved in the killings.
