Speed Darlington Arrest: Lawyer Adeyanju Confirms Detention

Deji Adeyanju Criticizes Rapper’s Arrest Amid Controversy

Lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has confirmed that Speed Darlington, who was initially reported missing, is in police custody following his arrest last Friday.

Adeyanju revealed that the controversial rapper was detained in Lagos and then transferred to Abuja.

The arrest allegedly stems from a petition filed by Burna Boy, which followed Speed Darlington’s public remarks about Burna Boy’s Grammy win and his connection to Sean “Diddy” Combs.

In a post, Adeyanju criticized the situation, stating, “You can’t be singing against oppressors and still be an oppressor,” seemingly directed at Burna Boy, who was accused of being involved in Speed Darlington’s arrest.

Adeyanju emphasized that efforts are underway to secure Darlington’s release, arguing that no one should be detained for expressing their views
