Speed Darlington Released on Bail: Details of His Arrest

Burna Boy’s Cyberbullying Allegations: Speed Darlington’s Legal Battle

Speed Darlington, a controversial Nigerian musician, has been released on bail after being detained for several days.

His arrest followed a petition filed by fellow artist Burna Boy, accusing him of defamation and cyberbullying.

The arrest was linked to a video Speed Darlington posted, in which he mocked Burna Boy’s connection with American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing legal issues.

Darlington insinuated that Burna Boy’s Grammy success might be tied to this association.

Darlington was arrested in Lagos and transferred to Abuja, where he was held by the police before his release on October 8, 2024, after fulfilling bail conditions.

His lawyer, along with several human rights activists, expressed gratitude to those who supported his release.
