On April 2, 2025, Khalid Adamu, the financial secretary of the Jama’atu Izalatul Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) in Abuja, was tragically stabbed to death at his residence in the Lugbe Division of the Federal Capital Territory.
JIBWIS, a prominent Islamic organization in Nigeria, expressed deep sorrow over the loss and called upon the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police to thoroughly investigate the incident and prosecute those responsible.
This incident follows a series of violent events involving Muslim groups in Abuja. Just days earlier, on March 29, clashes between Nigerian security forces and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), a Shiite Muslim group, resulted in six fatalities.
