Tems Wins Grammy: Reno Omokri’s Subtle Jab at Davido

Tems Triumphs: Reno Omokri’s Message to Davido

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri recently congratulated Nigerian singer Tems on her Grammy win, while seemingly criticizing Davido. In his message, Omokri praised Tems for being a “proud Nigerian who always speaks well of her country” and suggested that if others emulated her, they might also achieve such honors.

He further emphasized the importance of associating with the Nigerian flag, stating, “To win a Grammy as a Nigerian artiste, associate with a Nigerian flag, not the flag of a colonial oppressor!”

These remarks appear to be directed at Davido, who has the Belgian flag on his social media bio. Omokri’s comments have sparked discussions about patriotism and representation among Nigerian artists.
