President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to supporting a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, urging an immediate ceasefire and calling for a peaceful resolution.
Speaking at the Group of 77 and China Summit, held in Uganda, Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s dedication to sovereignty, peace, and the protection of civilian lives in the conflict zone.
The President, represented by Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, highlighted Nigeria’s alignment with the international community on humanitarian concerns and its commitment to advancing stability through multilateral efforts.
In addition, Tinubu advocated for addressing global economic inequalities, including unfair tax structures that impact developing countries, suggesting that a balanced tax framework would aid sustainable development and reduce revenue loss in the Global South.
He further encouraged South-South cooperation as a way to strengthen collaboration across Africa and other developing regions.
