President Bola Tinubu is set to attend the 2024 G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from November 18 to 19.
The summit, hosted by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will focus on global challenges such as poverty, hunger, sustainable development, and energy transition.
Tinubu is expected to advocate for reforms in global governance institutions, including Nigeria’s long-standing call for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
In addition to the main sessions, Tinubu is anticipated to engage in bilateral talks with other leaders to promote Nigeria’s socio-economic agenda, particularly in agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.
