Borno Attacks: President Tinubu Calls for Aggressive Military Strategy

President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sympathy to the Nigerian military and the families of six soldiers who lost their lives during a terrorist attack on January 4, 2025, at an army base in Sabon Gida, Damboa, Borno State.

In a statement released on January 9, 2025, President Tinubu lauded the military’s swift and effective response, which resulted in the elimination of 34 insurgents during the encounter.

The President emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances leading to the attack, with the aim of preventing future occurrences.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing the necessary support and resources to the armed forces in their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians.
