Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi is facing profound personal loss, having lost his 24-year-old son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, in a tragic road accident on December 26, 2024. This devastating event occurred just a day after the passing of his mother, Maryam Namadi-Umar.
The accident took place along the Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road, where Abdulwahab’s vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Golf, resulting in his immediate death. The burial rites were conducted in Kafin Hausa town, adhering to Islamic traditions.
Governor Namadi expressed his grief, stating, “To Allah belongs that which He has taken, and to Him belongs that which He has given, and everything has an appointed time with Him.”
This double tragedy has drawn condolences from various quarters, including former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who expressed his sympathy on social media.
