A 32-year-old man, Lanre Ogungbe, was found dead in his hotel room in Abeokuta, Ogun State, after he checked in for a short rest.
The hotel staff discovered his lifeless body on October 10, 2024. Police investigations revealed an empty bottle of alcoholic drink “Lakoko” and a bottle of the pesticide “Sniper” near his body.
There were no signs of violence, and it is suspected that he may have ingested the substances, though investigations are ongoing.
