Speeding Hit-and-Run Driver Claims Life on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

On December 26, 2024, two male pedestrians tragically lost their lives in a hit-and-run incident near Kara Bus Stop on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. as the individuals attempted to cross the expressway without proper caution and were struck by unidentified vehicles that fled the scene.

The victims were transported to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, where they were pronounced dead on arrival. Efforts are ongoing to identify the deceased and apprehend the drivers involved.

The Ogun State Police Command has urged pedestrians to exercise caution when crossing highways and has appealed to drivers to adhere to speed limits and remain vigilant to prevent such tragedies.
