Ibadan Mystery: How a 45-Year-Old Man Died Inside a Well

On February 1, 2025, a 45-year-old man tragically lost his life after falling into a well in the Sango area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The incident occurred when the man, identified as Mr. Adewale, was attempting to retrieve a bucket that had fallen into the well. Eyewitnesses reported that he leaned over to reach for the bucket, lost his balance, and fell into the deep well.

Despite immediate rescue efforts by local residents and the Oyo State Fire Service, Mr. Adewale was recovered unresponsive and later pronounced dead.

Authorities have since covered the well to prevent future accidents and have urged residents to exercise caution around open wells.
