Football Tragedy: Fresh Graduate Dies During Match

A recent graduate of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, Benue State, tragically collapsed and died while playing football just hours after completing his final exams. The incident occurred on Monday, February 24, 2025. The young man, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed, was participating in a friendly match with friends when he suddenly slumped on the field.

Despite immediate efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. This unfortunate event has cast a shadow over the university community, which had been in a celebratory mood following the conclusion of exams. The cause of his sudden collapse remains unknown, and further investigations are underway.
