Several travelers lost their lives on December 4, 2024, after their vehicle hit explosives planted by bandits along the Dansadau-Gusau road in Zamfara State.

The explosion killed six people and left eight others injured. Local sources report that the explosives were strategically placed by the bandits, a common tactic to disrupt mobility and cause fear in the area.
