Tragic Loss: TikTok Star Beandri Booysen Passes Away at 19 After Rare Disorder Battle

Paying Tribute to TikTok Star Beandri Booysen: Passed Away at 19 from Rare Illness

Beandri Booysen, a South African TikTok star known for her uplifting videos, passed away at the age of 19 after battling Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome, a rare genetic condition causing rapid aging.

Despite a life expectancy of about 14 years for individuals with progeria, Beandri defied the odds and became an internet sensation, amassing over 278,000 followers on TikTok.

Her mother, Bea Booysen, confirmed her passing on December 18, expressing deep sadness and highlighting Beandri’s role as a symbol of awareness for progeria and other special needs.

In October, Beandri underwent open-heart surgery and was hopeful to spend Christmas with her family.
