Three people tragically died in Uttar Pradesh, India, after their car followed directions from Google Maps that led them onto an unfinished bridge.
The bridge, which lacked proper signage or barriers, was under construction and not visible due to dense fog.
The car fell into the Ramganga River from a height of about 50 feet. The victims were on their way to a wedding and relied on the GPS for directions, not realizing the bridge was incomplete.
Local officials are being investigated, and Google has expressed condolences, stating they are cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
