On December 16, 2024, Dr. Fabian Osita, a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra State, was tragically shot and killed by suspected car-snatching assailants.
The incident occurred around 7:30 PM near the high-tension area in Aroma, Awka, as Dr. Osita was driving home from work.
The attackers attempted to steal his vehicle, and when he resisted, they fatally shot him in the head before fleeing the scene in his car.
