Akwa Ibom Community Shocked by Transformer Vandal’s Death

​A man identified as Princewill was electrocuted while allegedly attempting to vandalize a transformer in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in the Ikot Ibiok village.

Princewill reportedly attempted to tamper with the transformer located at Part House Road, opposite St. Stephen Catholic Church, leading to his fatal electrocution.

This incident highlights the dangers associated with tampering with electrical installations. Communities are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities around power infrastructure to the authorities to prevent such tragic occurrences and ensure the safety and reliability of electrical services.
