Troops Eliminate Three Infamous Bandit Leaders in Zamfara

Three Notorious Bandit Leaders Neutralized by Troops

In a significant operation, Nigerian troops have neutralized three notorious bandit leaders in Zamfara State. The leaders, identified as Kachalla Na Faranshi, Kachalla Gwammade, and Kachalla Shehu, were eliminated in separate military engagements.

Kachalla Na Faranshi, originally from Shirgi village in Maradi, Niger Republic, was killed alongside several of his fighters during a raid in Zurmi Local Government Area. He was known for his involvement in arms smuggling and had connections with terrorist groups operating in Mali. Na Faranshi was previously allied with Bello Turji, another notorious bandit leader, before establishing his own criminal network.

In a separate operation, troops of Operation Fansan Yamma, under the ongoing Operation Show No Mercy, eliminated Kachalla Gwammade and Kachalla Shehu, along with four of their fighters, in Ruwan Dawa village, Maru Local Government Area. This operation was carried out by troops stationed at Hannu Tara camp, located along the Magami–Dan Sadau highway, in collaboration with local vigilantes.
