Troops Successfully Raid Bandit Camps, Seize Weapons in Taraba and Benue

Military Forces Dismantle Bandit Hideouts and Recover Arms in Taraba and Benue

Troops of the 6 Brigade, Sector 3, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have successfully destroyed multiple bandits’ camps in Taraba State as part of their ongoing efforts to secure the region.

operation, named “Operation Golden Peace,” targeted notorious hideouts in areas such as Lijam High Ground and other locations in Takum and Donga Local Government Areas.

During the operation, the troops recovered weapons and equipment, including 27 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a Baofeng radio, and motorcycles.

These actions have bolstered security in the area, ensuring safer conditions for residents during the harvest season and the upcoming festive period.
