In a recent operation, troops from Operation Safe Haven successfully rescued three individuals who had been kidnapped in Plateau State. The victims were abducted by armed assailants in the Jannaret area of Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
Upon receiving intelligence about the incident, the troops swiftly mobilized to the location, engaging the kidnappers in a firefight. The assailants fled, abandoning the victims, who were subsequently rescued unharmed.
The Commander of Operation Safe Haven, Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, commended the troops for their prompt response and urged the public to continue providing timely information to aid security operations. He reiterated the commitment of the security forces to ensuring the safety and security of residents in the region.
