Trump Allegedly Demands $100 Billion Protection Fee

Trump’s $100 Billion Charge to Powerful Company Revealed

President Trump has been accused of effectively charging a $100 billion “protection fee” to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), often referred to as the world’s most powerful company.

This accusation stems from TSMC’s recent announcement of a $100 billion investment in U.S. semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including three chip fabrication plants and two packaging facilities in Arizona.

The investment was unveiled during a White House ceremony presided over by President Trump, raising concerns in Taiwan about the potential relocation of its critical semiconductor industry. Former Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou criticized the move, suggesting that Taiwan was effectively paying a “protection fee” to the U.S.
